RECYCLING CENTER/TRANSFER STATION SUMMER HOURS ARE IN EFFECT!
Regular Hours of Operation: Every Saturday 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.
From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, we are also open on Wednesdays 8:00 am – 12 pm. This year, Wednesday’s start on May 27th, 2026 and the last day is Wednesday, September 9th, 2026.

Please notice the fees for Mattresses & Box Springs has increased significantly. To avoid these fees, you can take them apart PRIOR to bringing them to the Transfer Station and put them in the Green Bags. You can watch a video on how to do this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhD6SMjL7DE

A CALL TO ACTION

The Morgan Community House needs your support. We are asking you to participate in our exciting fundraising event. Our goal is to make the Community House a place where all can gather year-round for an endless variety of reasons. This would create an atmosphere that defines a small town: community caring for each other, working together, feeling like we belong. Think about it: gatherings, town meetings, dances, dinners, holiday parties, entertainment, children’s programs. The list is endless. We need your help to make this vision come true.

In 2025 through grants and fundraising we were able to make structural improvements to the foundation, excavate the foundation perimeter and install proper drainage, paint the exterior of the building, pave a small parking area and handicap entrance. The next phase of improvements requires your help. We need to raise $100,000.

Phase II will consist of the following: construct an entranceway, bring all electrical systems up to code, install new lighting, insulate the building, replace all doors and windows with energy efficient materials, install heat, replace interior walls, and update the restrooms.

These improvements are necessary. The Community House’s structural upkeep has been neglected for a long time. The cause is genuine. It’s time for us to make a move to save the center of Morgan, making it a safe place that we all can utilize and enjoy.

The Town of Morgan Recycling Center/Transfer Station is looking for summer help!

Hours will be Wednesdays 7 am – 12 pm and Saturdays 7 am – 3 pm,
from May 27^th – September 9th.
Duties include assisting in recycling and helping out as needed.

The Town of Morgan now offers ONLINE PROPERTY TAX PAYMENTS!

The Town of Morgan property taxes were due by 4:00 pm on October 30th, 2025. All taxes from this time on are now considered delinquent.
The online payment option has been reactivated for delinquent tax payments. Partial payments are accepted. For the full amount due, please contact our office before making your payment at 802-895-2927.
If you have any questions, the taxes are now in the hands of the Delinquent Tax collector, James Judd. (802) 895-4418.

If anyone has the time & inclination to work on some Municipal Grant Program grants for the town, please contact the selectmen.
