2025 Town Wide Reappraisal
The town of Morgan contracted with the appraisal company NEMRC to complete a townwide reappraisal for the 2025 Grand List.
This was a statistical update and NEMRC assessors reviewed all parcels – this was limited to updating the exterior photos and verifying data on record if necessary.
The updated property values came out in April 2025.
Every property owner was mailed a Change of Appraisal booklet with all properties listed. Owners had the opportunity to view their data online and speak with a NEMRC assessor.
On April 22nd, 23rd and 24th the Assessor’s Office held informational pre-grievance meetings at the Town Office.
On May 12 & 13, 2025, NEMRC assessors were available at the Morgan Town Office to hear appeals of taxpayer aggrieved by actions of the assessor from whom timely grievances had been received.
To be timely, such grievance must have been in writing and received (postmarks not accepted) on or by May 12, 2025. For questions regarding grievances, call Marla at 802-227-7383.

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS
Notice is hereby given in accordance with 32 V.S.A 4111 that the undersigned assessor within and for the Town of Morgan has this day completed the abstract of individual lists (abstract) of property owners as of April 1, 2025.
The assessor has this same day lodged the abstract in the office of the clerk for the inspection of taxpayers.
At the close of grievance hearing, the assessors shall make such corrections in the
abstract as were determined upon hearing or otherwise. Unless cause to the contrary is shown, the contents of said abstract will, for the tax year 2025 become the Grand List for the town/city of each taxpayer named therein.
